A Contract helps eliminate miscommunication, and provides for options, in the event that and agreed upon detail, is not performed.

Its very important though to have a Budget to work with, which can be used as a measuring stick, or check guard, to help determine which items we can actually include, or those that we need to cut off

A Budget is very important to any event. Events incur costs, and as soon as you say 'ah want' 

costs begin to rise.  It is important to manage your wants and needs with your pocket.

Many times people plan events based on ideas they have seen on television or magazines 

and try to pursue fulfilling the experience.  They are usually way above what they 

can afford, and thus cause frustration to the decorators and event coordinators.

Normally when events are being planned, there is always an underlying understanding that cost must be controlled, as resources are limited.   Sadly, the area that this is most effected is the Service.  

It is usually thought that friends and family will pick up this area, but in many cases, this is the reason why mishaps occur, and some aspect of the event is compromised. 

Cutting cost on Service Staff can cause the  experience of you and your guests to be belittled.  it has been proven time and time again, that the people who "come and perform" are the people who are paid.

Financial Planning for your Event

When planning an event, like Birthday Party,  Anniversary Celebration or a Wedding, it is advisable to start putting funds away/saving towards the event, put funds in an interest bearing account, in order to avoid as much as possible having to take a loan to fund it.   If you are having alcohol at your event you can start purchasing in small amounts as this will drastically reduce your cost as you go along.

It is also advisable, as much as is possible to avoid holding your event around Christmas time, as the price of food is elevated, items are scarce, and dumping is done by businessmen.
